Description. Book described first, then the d/w if present, more detailed description of any book will gladly be given on request. However if you feel an item has been wrongly or unfairly described, you may return it to us within 14 days of receipt for a full refund. The abbreviations used are standard for the trade and include the following:- p/b.-- paperback. illus:--- illustrated pp--- pages. ex-lib: -- ex- library copy. f.e.p.--- front end papers. Bookclub-- edition published by a book club. D/w in Protective wrap means in booksellers p.v.c. wrap or sleeve, that can be removed if desired with no damage to the book or wrapper. |
MINT (M) - The item is in perfect condition, complete with dust wrapper and impossible to distinguish from a new copy.
Near MINT (N/M) - The item is approaching MINT or as new condition with only very minor imperfection to book or dust wrapper.
FINE (F) - The item is in excellent condition, although there may be some slight evidence of ownership. The dust wrapper is near like new, except possibly with some slight rubbing to edges and corners, unless otherwise stated.
NEAR FINE ( N/ F) - Approaching fine, and with d/w having some wear on edges and some minor marks only.
VERY GOOD (VG) - The item is less than FINE condition, but there are still no major faults. The dust wrapper is clean with little fading and may have small tears or pieces missing, usually stated in description.
GOOD (G) - The item is obviously secondhand, but complete unless noted otherwise. The dustwrapper may be marked, scuffed or creased and with general signs of wear, small chips and tears likely. usually stated in description.
